Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself from the Peakaboo mobile app for Android or iOS:

1. Sign in and open Settings.
2. Tap Account, then Deactivate or delete account.
3. Choose Delete account permanently, optionally tell us why, and confirm.

Before you confirm, you can download a copy of your data from the same screen with Export.

Signed in on the web, go to Settings → Account, choose Deactivate or delete account, and follow the same steps.

If you can’t sign in or no longer have the app, email support@peakaboo.ai from the email address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to confirm the request before we act on it, so we never delete an account for someone who doesn’t own it.

If you own an organization on Peakaboo (an advertiser account), its campaigns, balance and team members have to be settled before it can close, so it can’t be deleted from settings — and because your personal account is the same login, neither can that one on its own. In the mobile app, open Settings → Account → Close company account (shown as Delete account while you’re on your personal account) to send the request as a support ticket; anywhere else, email support@peakaboo.ai. We’ll close it with you, including returning any remaining balance.

• Your account is deactivated straight away: you’re signed out everywhere and your profile and content are hidden from other people.
• You have 30 days to change your mind. Signing back in during that time cancels the deletion.
• After 30 days your account and content are permanently deleted and can’t be recovered.
• If you still have a balance, a payout in progress or an open dispute when the 30 days end, we settle it first and delete the account as soon as it’s done.

• Your account and profile — name, username, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, bio, photos and social links.
• Content you created — posts, stories and comments with their photos and videos, your reactions, and portfolio items you never submitted to an offer.
• Your follows, blocks, saved posts, notifications, settings and sign-in sessions.
• Your identity verification details, ID photo and selfie, and your payout bank details.

Some records have to outlive the account, and we keep them only for as long as the law requires:

• Financial records — transactions, earnings, withdrawals and invoices, for tax and accounting obligations.
• Verification records — the fact that your identity was checked and the outcome, for anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering obligations.
• Submitted creatives — work you submitted to an advertiser’s offer, which is part of that campaign’s records.
• Safety records — reports and moderation decisions involving your account, so we can enforce our community rules.

Messages you sent in a conversation are part of the other people’s conversation history, so they may stay visible to them, shown as sent by a deleted user.

You don’t have to delete your account to remove data. In the app or on the web you can delete individual posts, comments and stories, remove your phone number or profile details from Edit profile, and disconnect Google sign-in from Settings → Security.
